Samvardhana Motherson Q2: Net Profit Surges 222.5% to ₹948.81 Crore

The auto component manufacturer Samvardhana Motherson International Ltd. announced on Tuesday that its consolidated net profit for the September quarter increased by a factor of four to Rs 948.81 crore, driven by robust revenue growth. A regulatory filing from Samvardhana Motherson International Ltd (SAMIL) said that the company’s consolidated net profit for the same quarter of the previous fiscal year was Rs 294.15 crore.

The company mentioned that it had incurred Rs 250 crore in unusual expenses during the previous year, including a provision for expenditures related to the gradual operational restructuring of some divisions situated in Europe, notably France and Germany.

Compared to the same period last year, when it was Rs 23,527.46 crore, the company’s consolidated total revenue from operations was Rs 27,811.86 crore. Comparing the second quarter to the same period last year, total expenses increased to Rs 27,012.92 crore from Rs 22,894.99 crore.
