The state-owned Power Grid’s shares are probably going to be in the spotlight today after the business revealed on Wednesday that its consolidated net profit for the quarter ending in September 2024 was Rs 3,793 crore, down from Rs 3,781 crore for the same period last year.
In the meantime, the company’s operating revenue for the reviewed quarter was Rs 11,278 crore, unchanged from Rs 11,267 crore in the same quarter last year. Additionally, the first interim dividend of Rs 4.50 per equity share of Rs 10 each for the fiscal year 2024–2025 was approved by the board.
Power Grid Q2 Result
Power Grid reported a net profit of ₹3,793 crore for the second quarter, which was marginally higher than the ₹3,781 crore it reported for the year prior. At ₹11,277.76 crore, the power transmission company’s operating revenue remained unchanged from ₹11,267 crore the year before.
Revenue from the company’s transmission division climbed from ₹10,991.96 crore to ₹11,197.59 crore over the prior year. Revenue from the consulting segment climbed to ₹194.62 crore from ₹181.61 crore the year before. In the same quarter last year, the telecom segment’s revenue climbed from ₹224.99 crore to ₹305.07 crore.
