Niva Bupa Surges on Market Debut: Lists at ₹78.14, Up 5.5% from IPO Price

The shares of Niva Bupa Health Insurance made a respectable market debut on Thursday, November 14, when they went public on the NSE for ₹78.14, 5.5% above the issue price of ₹74. It was listed at ₹78.5 on the BSE, which was 6.08 percent higher than the IPO price.

From November 7 to November 11, subscriptions for Niva Bupa’s ₹2,200 crore initial public offering (IPO) were accepted. The issue price of the health insurance services provider’s shares was between ₹70 and ₹74 per share.

The stock debuted on the BSE at a premium of 6.08 percent, at Rs 78.50 a share. It then increased by 9.37% to Rs 80.94. The market value of the company was Rs 14,069.93 crore.

Originally seeking to raise Rs 3,000 crore, the business lowered the offering size.
