KNR Constructions Soars 14%: Hits 3-Week High on Strong Q2 Earnings

On Wednesday, November 13, intraday trading saw a 14.31% increase in shares of KNR Constructions, a prominent supplier of engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services, reaching a three-week high of ₹324.65 per share.

The company’s impressive success in the September quarter was followed by a surge in the stock price. KNR’s consolidated revenue increased by 87% year over year (YoY) to ₹1,944.86 crore. Operating margins improved by 2,246 basis points to 44.7%, and operating profit increased 276% year over year to ₹869 crore from ₹231 crore.

Profit after tax (PAT) increased from ₹142 crore to ₹580 crore, a 306% increase from the previous year. Additionally, there was a 249% sequential growth over the June quarter, when the net profit was ₹165 crore. The overall order book for the company as of the end of September 2024 was ₹4,406 crore.

According to the company’s Q2 earnings report, the road (HAM) segment made up 33% of the order book, followed by the irrigation and pipeline sectors with 23% and 25%, respectively, and other road projects with the remaining portion.
