Eicher Motors reported sales of Rs 4,263 crore for the second quarter of FY 2024–25, a slight rise over the Rs 4,115 crore recorded during the same time in FY 2023–2024. With an EBITDA margin of 26%, the company’s EBITDA was essentially unchanged at Rs 1,088 crore from Rs 1,087 crore the previous year. For the quarter, Eicher’s net profit was Rs 1,100 crore, up 8.3% from Rs 1,016 crore at the same time last fiscal year.
One of the main factors contributing to this impressive financial performance was the more than 36% growth in sales of motorbikes with engines larger than 350 cc from year to year. The “Interceptor 650” and other higher-margin motorcycles now account for 15.3% of Eicher’s overall sales, up from 11.1% a year ago.
