The rise came after the Uttarakhand Project Development and Construction Corporation Ltd. announced that it had won an order worth Rs 1,274 crore.

Afcons Wins ₹1,274 Crore Dam Project

Afcons Infrastructure Limited has been granted permission by Uttarakhand Project Development and Construction Corporation Ltd. to build a concrete gravity dam on the Song River in Dehradun that will be 130.6 meters high. The ₹1,274 crore project will be completed in 60 months and includes both civil and HM work. The company was listed on November 4, 2024, however on September 28, 2024, it was announced as the lowest bidder for the project.

In order to support Uttarakhand’s infrastructure development, Afcons will carry out this esteemed project using an EPC approach. Building the dam and its auxiliary buildings over the Song River is part of the project.
